Introducing our latest innovation – Hot Tub Rail CappingOur new Hot Tub Rail Capping system protects and beautifies the most vulnerable part a wood tub, the upper rail.  The upper rail is constantly exposed to moisture and sun which can over the decades ultimately result in a gradual deterioration of the wood rail.  The new Rail Capping system protect the upper railing from deterioration. If the Rail Capping deteriorated over time it can be easily and inexpensively replaced.

Product Description

Worlds Best Built Wood Hot Tubs

Roberts Hot Tubs has been individually crafting Round Hot Tubs, as well as Japanese Ofuro Soaking Tubs, from the finest quality Western Red Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Port Orford Cedar, Teak and Redwood since 1976.

Our tubs are referred to as “the absolute highest quality traditional hot tubs made” by both our competition and the Hot Tub Industry.   We believe that there are two main reasons as to why Roberts Hot Tubs are considered to be head and shoulders above the competition?

  1. Our High Standards – The standards for what we consider “quality hot tub materials” are extremely high and we use nothing but the very finest quality materials available for all of our tubs.
  2. Our Unique Hot Tub Manufacturing Process – The expertise, knowledge and insight accumulated over the last 40 plus years has led to a perfect blend of quality Old School Craftsmanship with the absolute precision of Advanced Computer Technology.  Our hot tubs are all about Quality and Precision!

All of our traditional round hot tubs are individually crafted from the thickest and finest clear, all heart, vertical grain Western Red Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Port Orford Cedar or Teak wood available.  Due to the unavailability of quality redwood, we no longer build redwood hot tubs.

We construct our tubs from full sawn 2 x 6 clear, all heart vertical grain staves and our tub bottoms are 1-3\4″ net thickness, making them considerably thicker than other wooden hot tubs on the market today.

The extra thickness provides numerous benefits to hot tub owners including:

• Adds Years to the Usable Life-Span of Your Hot Tub
• Virtually Eliminates the Possibility of the Wood Warping in the Future
• Provides Up to Twice as Much Insulation Value as Thinner Tubs

Our tubs are supported by 4 x 6 chine joists and held together by 1\2″ steel bands. Our steel bands are roll threaded at each end and come with a cast iron coupler, two stainless steel nuts and a unique polyethylene sheathing which protects the bands from rusting or gouging the wood.

The benches in our hot tubs are made from clear, all heart, vertical grain wood with a finished thickness of 1/2 to 1-1\2″ thick.

We call this our “Full Circle” bench. No part of the Full Circle Bench touches the floor of the hot tub, thereby eliminating obstacles and allowing your feet complete, unobstructed freedom.

We also have less than a full circle bench sections that allow for sitting and standing. These sections can be installed at various levels to allow total comfort for people of different heights. All benches come complete with stainless steel screws for fastening to the tub.

We pack and ship our tubs in a strategic “knocked down” fashion for easy shipping and easy installation in just about any location.  All tubs come with our comprehensive and easy to follow step by step installation guide.

We keep some of the most popular sized wood tubs in stock, along with a limited selection of smaller two person oval tubs. The most popular round tubs are 4′ tall by 5′-6′ in diameter, but we also offer standard pricing on 3′-5′ tall tubs and complete hot tub system packages as well.

If you’re interested in something other than our standard sizes and shapes, then you’ve come to the right place. Roberts Hot Tubs has been building quality wooden hot tubs since 1976 and most of our tubs are made to order and customized to our customers specifications.

Over the last 40 years, we’ve built just about every size and shape of wooden hot tub imaginable.  It’s not unheard of for us to make tubs as small as 3′ or as large as 12′ in diameter with depths ranging from 2′ 6″ to 5′.

Some hot tub manufacturers avoid or discourage custom or special orders, but your special orders are more than welcome at Roberts Hot Tubs. Call our customer care center toll-free at 1-800-735-5290, fax us at 510-234-7910 or email for pricing or to place a special order.
