Yellow cedar is the hardest known cedar which allows for up to a 25 year tub lifespan and unlike the competition we boast a 1 3/4″ thick, vertical grain board with unique milling (tongue and groove) that allows for easier construction and no need to cut a key stave. We also like to think this makes for a nicer looking product as well. All the lumber is sustainably sourced directly from mills in Canada and are all heart, clear, boards finish sanded to 150 grit.
